THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE LIVE ON THE STREETS IN BRAZIL. IN THE SÃO PAULO METROPOLITAN AREA, A GROUP OF VOLUNTEERS STRUGGLES, SINCE 2016, TO EASE THE HISTORIC INEFFICIENCY OF THE GOVERNMENT BY HANDING OUT WEEKLY PROVISIONS. DESPITE THE SCARCITY OF RESOURCES, THE GROUP RELIES ON THE ACTION OF THEIR SUPPORTERS AND VOLUNTEERS TO TAKE THEIR MORE AMBITIOUS STEP. THEY AIM TO OPEN A DRUG REHAB CENTER IN A YEAR MARKED BY THE FIFA WORLD CUP AND PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS, IN A COUNTRY RIFTED BY POLITICAL POLARISATION, WHERE FOOTBALL NO LONGER UNITES.
